and today I got an LJ comment notification from shizayats saying that she and her friend had recognized themselves in the drawing and decided to cosplay it. LOOK AT THIS, I JUST. CAN’T STOP FLAILING, I’M SO UTTERLY DELIGHTED.

I was watching Sherlock again, paying attention to everything, trying to figure out how he’s still alive and I ran across this:
Look at his email address… he’s got an actual website, so I went and checked it out and to my surprise I see this:

One of the best things about this show is the immense attention to detail and the effort to make it an interactive experience. The web presence is great—I don’t know why more shows don’t do this. I love how the creators know we’re going to analyze every frame and find everything, and reward us for doing so.

I’m not telling you any spoilers or opinions, but I want to write down my personal favourite line of all 2nd Sherlock season. It is:
Do you ever wonder if there’s something wrong with us?
I do wonder. Lots of times. Moffat, Gatiss, you have no idea of HOW EXACTLY you’ve portrayed my family relationships here. So - couldn’t keep myself from trying to paint my favourite brothers…
P.S.:
Mycroft in this very portrait is a shadow, a gothic cathedral, a foggy city, a strict system, capable of crumpling down, while Sherlock is a mixture of amorphous shapes, neither exactly dark, nor exactly white… I guess you can see my point here.

As always, Eva, you are in the very same headspace I am. Everything you explained was exactly what I assumed to be true, but you put into words better than I could and connected the pieces I hadn’t thoroughly examined yet. Everyone should read this. If this or something very similar to this isn’t how it goes down in S3, I admit I’ll be quite disappointed.
